Dear Dean, academic staff and employees of the AG University in Bahrain,

Signers of this letter believe that academic centers are one of the most important domains for the human beings’ development in all aspects. In history, Universities have been always known as the place for teaching the true history, authentic science, morality and wisdom. In fact the past and present development would have failed without complying above mentioned attitude.

We believe that the above principle is trampled by the name selected for your graceful university; however, we insist that this letter is prepared without any bigotry and the purpose is just reminding you the historical heritage of this vital region for all civilizations either being Persian or Arab.

We hereby inform you that the name of your respectful university (Arabian Gulf) by which you probably aim to refer to the gulf among Bahrain and Iran is mischosen. Due to academic commitment and principles which your university believes in, this name should be revised to its original, historical and internationally known name which is "the Persian Gulf". Let’s not assist ill hands who spend millions to change the history. Let's have the future students proud of being graduated from a truthful academic center.

In addition to the Persian Gulf historical evidences, you might be aware that several resolutions in the United Nations are led to officially recognize that body of the water “the Persian Gulf”. Moreover the most recent report prepared by United Nations' Group of Experts on Geographical Names, Working Paper No. 61, Vienna, 28 March 2006, insists “the Persian Gulf” as the original name of this gulf. Not to mention that all known int’l geographic research institutes refer to this spot of the globe as “the Persian Gulf”.

As you may noticed our aim is to bring up objective arguments as our evidence and the future will judge on what we did to preserve the global heritage for the next generations.

We hope you are now in a position to make the right decision after dedicating your valuable time for reading our request.
