Fell Mountain timbering

Fell Mountain (aka Merli-Sarnoski) is a mountain bikers Heaven in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. This petition is to STOP the harvesting WHERE THERE IS SINGLETRACK. The trails were made by the Lackawanna Bike Club, who spent years making this a mountain biking destination that is now in danger. Our County Commissioners decided to do "Selective Harvesting". This was described as an area that DID NOT include our singletrack. We recently found out the area had at least tripled and NOW INCLUDED approximately 7 miles of singletrack. Several people in our community have witnessed the damage that heavy machinery does during harvesting including ruts that are waist deep, branches left behind and excessive briars growing in. This has deeply saddened the mountain bike community all around our area. Please sign this petition to save our singletrack and let our County Commissioners know how much we love our singletrack. THE CITY OF CARBONDALE AND THE ADMINISTRATION OF MAYOR JUSTIN TAYLOR IS NOT AT ALL INVOLVED WITH THIS PROJECT.
