New Xbox Experience Cost of Community Games

To:  Microsoft Corporation, XNA, and Microsoft Gaming Studios

On behalf of the XBOX community starting on November 19th, 2008, we ask for the following features of the New Xbox Experience to be free of charge to the community; all current and future Community Games (i.e. 1 vs. 100).

We would like for this to be acted on account of many reasons, one of the biggest being that you have advertised it in many gaming conventions and other sites, and the majority of the Xbox Live users thought this would be a nice, free feature added to the New Xbox Experience.

We know that the main reason for you (as in the Microsoft Corporation, XNA, Microsoft Gaming Studios, etc.) charging us with this new and exciting feature probably is because most of the content created in the Community Games are user created. The users who created these games might want to be paid when games like these are created; maybe you could possibly pay the creators a one time fee for sharing this gaming with everyone on the Xbox Live community.

Also, generally speaking, if it has a price tag on it, less people would buy it if as opposed to people acquiring it for free. Thus, the feature of the community games being "community games", might not even work since the whole community won't even participate because they do not think it is worth the money.

In conclusion, the Xbox Live community would just rather see the new feature of Community Games be free of charge so that more people will use the feature more often.
