I have had my piercings for about a year, School hasnt had a problem - I have my snakebites retained, my hair covers my ears, and I flip my septum up inside my nose, any other piercings I have are covered by clothes, as is my tattoo.
however, today I was sent home. Apparently people that have piercings are just trying to rebel and will never do well in school.
Now, last year I passed my NCEA level one exams, I came back to school this year even though legally Im allowed to leave, I try my best in all my classes and I get my work done.
I want to get an education.
They told me to take them out.
I said Ill leave school,
They told me that I couldnt just throw my education away like that
theyre practiclly forcing me to.

This is unfair
Its also discrimination
Its also incredibly judgemental on the schools part to say that people that have piercings are failures.

Sign if you believe this is unfair and that piercings should be allowed in school (at least if people try to hide them as much as possible)

I live in New Zealand (anyone can sign though) and Im in Highschool 6th form (or year 12)

Thanks,
