Al Jazeera should be FREE

I ask you, the reader of this petition, to support my proposal to Al Jazeera TV, as follows:

Al Jazeera TV is a very popular news station in the Middle East and around the world. Almost all over the world the station is available Free to Air except in North America were it is most needed.

I would highly recommend and propose that Al Jazeera TV become a Free To Air station on Telstar 5 (97 W) KU-Band satellite. Almost the majority of Arab American viewers have FTA digital receiver systems to view more than 18 FTA Arabic stations on Telstar 5. Adding Al Jazeera, will bring your station to the main stream Arabic viewers. Revenues could be generated by the station through advertisements, not only by Arab American businesses, but by most American business as well.

For example, fortune 500 corporations (car companies, telephone companies, electronics, food, etc.) will be very interested in reaching potentially more than 3 million Arab American viewers* available in the USA if they know that there is a main media outlet that reaches this group, such as Al Jazeera.
