Recount for American Idol

In order to slow the number of emails I recieve in day here are a few answers to the most frequent questions:

Has it been sent to FOX/AI and have they responded? Yes, I forwarded a link to them. I haven't recieved a direct response but the petition has been noted on E!online, FOX in Dallas,TX interviewed me via phone, and I'm currently working on something else. It is doing something.

Do I hold Bo to the same standard as Scott in light of recent news? Yes. While I personally like Bo and think he will be successful regardless the outcome of the show, I do not feel that people with criminal records should have a place on the show. I don't think honesty or dishonesty about it shouldn't make a difference.

The deadline for FOX to do anything has passed. Please don't stop supporting Constantine Maroulis or any other Idol contestant you deem worthy of your support. Boycott, buy albums, or whatever you see fit. Thank you for everyone who took the time to sign here.

American Idol has millions of viewers watch it each week. There is a possibility that errors in calculation and tabulation may occur - as well as phone line errors. In lieu of this weeks American Idol ousting, we the viewers of American Idol respectfully demand a recount. We feel that the results are not accurate to the talent and/or opinions of the audience who views it.

We ask that you push back the season by a week and allow a replay of this week's performances. If the results return the same, then we will accept the facts. However, failure to allow a recount will result in a drastic drop in ratings, as well as a decline in product sales for the American Idol franchise overall.

We also have particular concerns about a certain contestant. Scott Savol's criminal record is blemished with domestic abuse. While it is possible for people to change, we feel that it is unfair to those removed in the past for similiar reasons that he is still here and that he should be removed immediately from the competition. It shouldn't matter whether he admitted it upfront or not. Surely people with criminal records are not who you want to represent FOX or American Idol.

We are your audience and if you lose us, you have nothing. Humor us with at least a recount if nothing else.
