David Emerson betrayed 20064 voters in Vancouver Kingsway:

•David Emerson willingly accepted the nomination of the Liberal Party

•Presented himself as a Liberal candidate for Vancouver Kingsway

•Knowingly and wilfully accepted monies, benefits and other contributions in kind from liberal-minded voters in Vancouver Kingsway in support of his campaign

•By choosing to sit as a member of the newly elected Conservative government, David Emerson has abused the trust of all those who in good faith supported him financially and politically

We the undersigned hereby declare that David Emerson has abused the trust of all Canadians and request his immediate resignation.

We also call on Prime Minister Harper to keep his election campaign promise to respect the will of Canadians and request that he call a by-election and allow the voters of Vancouver Kingway to elect to Parliament a member who represents their political beliefs and principles.
