Stop Old Post Road Development

To:  Rhinebeck Town Board

I am signing this petition in order to express my deep concern over the development of the area between Mt. Rutsen Road, Old Post Road, and Hook Road in Rhinebeck, NY. I am asking the Town Board not to consider the possibility of high density housing at this location. It would change the landscape of the area, not only physically as the area does include woods and a wetland, but also the landscape of Rhinebeck as a community. Many people live around this area on Mt.Rutsen Road, Lower Hook Road, Upper Hook Road, Hook Road, Lemon Lane, and Old Post Road and would be severely impacted by such development, as well as any resident of Rhinebeck who would face the increase in traffic on these small roads as well as the change in our community as a whole.
