Le expreso mi gran preocupacion con el comercio de carne de perro en Filipinas. Felicito a su gobierno por haber instituido una legislacion nacional prohibiendo el comercio de carne de perro, pero entiendo que es necesario la aplicacion de unas leyes mas estrictas hasta el punto de poner fin a esta practica cruel.

Me quede horrorizado(a) al saber, a traves de Global Action Network, que los perros destinados a la matanza en Baguio son transportados en condiciones tan crueles que hasta un 50% de ellos se mueren en el camino. A los supervivientes les cortan el cuello aun estando vivos y despiertos.

Le ruego que haga todo lo que este en su poder para solicitar a su gobierno que aumente los esfuerzos para la eliminacion total del comercio de carne de perro.

Senhora Presidente da República das Filipinas:

Escrevo-lhe para exprimir a minha forte consternação sobre o comércio de carne de cão nas Filipinas. Louvo o seu governo por instituir legislação nacional proibindo o comércio de carne de cão, mas entendo que leis mais fortes e mais força na aplicação da lei são necessárias, par pôr fim a esta prática cruel.

Fiquei horrorizado por saber, através da Global Action Network, que cães destinados ao abate em Baguio, são transportados em condições tão adversas que 50% dos cães morrem durante a viagem e os que a sobrevivem são degolados ainda conscientes.

Rogo-lhe que faça tudo o que estiver em seu poder para encorajar o seu governo a levar mais longe os seus esforços para eliminar totalmente o comércio de carne de cão.

Como viajante comprometido, escolho destinos turísticos onde exista o compromisso de tratar os animais com humanidade. Só considerarei viajar para as Filipinas, quando o comércio de carne de cão acabar.

President of the Republic of the Philippines

I am writing to you to express my strong concerns about the dog meat trade in the Philippines. I commend your government for instituting national legislation banning the dog meat trade, but I understand that stronger laws and increased enforcement are needed to put a final end to this cruel practice.

I was horrified to learn from Global Action Network that dogs destined for slaughter in Baguio are transported under such appalling conditions that up to 50% of them die en-route, while the survivors have their throats cut while still conscious.

I urge you to do all within your power to encourage your government to further its efforts to eliminate the dog meat trade completely.

Sehr geehrter Präsident der philippinischen Republik!

Mit diesem Schreiben möchte ich meine größten Bedenken bezüglich des Handels mit Hundefleisch in Ihrem Land, den Philippinen, zum Ausdruck bringen.

Es ist sehr lobenswert, dass bereits Gesetze zum Verbot des Handels mit Hundefleisch implementiert wurden. Jedoch sind hier schärfere Gesetze und deren Umsetzung erforderlich, um dieser grauenhaften Praxis ein Ende zu bereiten.

Ich war sehr entsetzt, als ich von Global Action Network erfuhr, unter welch furchtbaren Bedingungen die Transporte der Hunde, die für die Schlachtung in Baguio bestimmt sind, stattfinden! Bereits 50% sterben während des Transportes, bei vielen anderen Hunden - die noch bei Bewußtsein sind - ist z.B. die Kehle durchgebissen!

Ich möchte Sie inständig bitten, alles in Ihrer Macht stehende zu tun, um Ihre Regierung weiterhin zur Beendigung dieser Machenschaften zu bewegen.

Io esprimo la mia grande preoccupazione per il commercio di carne di cane nelle Filippine. Mi congratulo col suo governo per avere istituito una legislazione nazionale che proibisce il commercio di carne di cane, ma io capisco che è necessario l'applicazione di alcune leggi molto severe fino al punto di porre fine a questa pratica crudele.

Mi ha fatto inorridire la conoscenza, attraverso il Network "Azione Globale", che i cani destinati alla macellazione in Baguio sono trasportati in condizioni così crudeli, che fino al 50% di loro muoiono per la strada. Ai superstiti tagliano anche il collo, essendo vivi e svegli.

Le richiedo che lei faccio tutto quello che è nel Suo potere, per richiedere al Suo Governo di aumentare gli sforzi per l'eliminazione totale del commercio di carne di cane.

Madame la Présidente de la République des Philippines

Je tiens à vous faire part de ma grande préoccupation en ce qui concerne le commerce de viande de chien aux Philippines. Je félicite votre gouvernement d'avoir institué une législation nationale interdisant le commerce de viande de chien, mais je pense qu'il est nécessaire d'instaurer des lois plus strictes afin que cesse définitivement cette pratique cruelle.

J'ai été horrifié(e) d'apprendre, par l'intermédiaire du Global Action Network, que les chiens destinés à l'abattage à Baguio sont transportés dans des conditions si épouvantables que 50 % d'entre eux meurent en chemin et que ceux qui ont survécu ont la queue coupée alors qu'ils sont encore en vie et conscients.

Je vous prie instamment de faire tout votre possible pour que votre gouvernement prenne toutes les dispositions nécessaires afin que soit mis irrévocablement fin au commerce de viande de chien.

Aan de president van de Filipijnen,

Hierbij wil ik mijn bezorgdheid uiten betreft de handel van hondenvlees in de Filipijnen.

Ik feliciteer u en uw regering voor het verbod op de handel in hondenvlees, maar ik heb begrepen dat er nog enige aanpassingen nodig zijn in de wetgeving om deze gruwelijke praktijken harder te kunnen bestraffen ,daar er nog steeds op grote schaal handel in hondenvlees wordt bedreven.

Ik was geschokt te vernemen van Global Action Network, dat de honden die afgemaakt worden in Baquio op afschuwelijke wijze worden vervoerd en dat 50 % tijdens het transport komt te overlijden. De honden die het overleven wordt levend de nek afgesneden.

Ik smeek u en uw regering alles te doen wat in uw vermogen ligt om de handel in hondenvlees te stoppen.
