Restrict underage Tote betting at Greyhound and Horse Racing Tracks (Ireland)

To:  Irish Government.

There are no age restrictions for people betting at Tote Bookmakers at Irish Greyhound and Horse Racing Tracks.Irish Children can place bets at these tracks.





We the undersigned want legislation introduced into the Irish Betting Act 1931 to restrict betting at Horse and Greyhound Tracks to adults over 18 years.(this is the legal age in the uk)





We require the following to be included in the Betting Act 1931.





'No Greyhound or Horse racing Track tote bookmaker shall make a bet or engage in a betting transaction with a person under the age of eighteen years whether such person is acting on his own behalf or as agent for another person.'
