Uniform Driving Requirements |
To: U.S. SenateWe are very concerned about how our nation issues drivers licenses. Throughout the United States, the driving laws differ greatly from state to state. The state with the lowest driving requirements we found is Louisiana. This state only requires that a person under the age of 18 hold a permit for at least 90 days; there is no number of hours a person has to complete. Florida has the highest requirements which include 50 hours of behind the wheel experience along with holding the permit for 12 months. We propose the driving requirements be constant throughout the nation with 30 hours of logged driving experience along with holding a permit for 6 months. Put an end to this insanity by signing this petition!
Sincerely,
