To:  U.S. Office of International Affairs

We respectfully request that the U.S. Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C issue an order right away to release the bond against Duane Dog Chapman, Leland Chapman and Tim Chapman.

In Federal Court in Honolulu on August 16, 2007, Barry M. Kurren, U.S. Magistrate Judge, upheld the bond, despite a 15-page decision from Mexico stating clearly that the case has been dismissed. Although an appeal was filed by the Mexican prosecutor on the case – considered standard procedure, the judgment did not state that the case was dismissed "pending an appeal." Therefore, the three Chapmans are considered free men in Mexico

As per the Resolution on page 14 of the translated decision, "The Court hereby orders the DISMISSAL OF THE PRESENT ACTION in favor of (Duane, Tim and Leland Chapman), against whom it has been instituted for their probable criminal liability in the commission of the offense of Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty as provided in Article 103, Item 1, of the Halisco State Criminal Code, to the detriment of Andrew Stuart Luster, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 310 the court n ow hereby orders their ABSOLUTE FREEDOM." (The order was issued on July 27, 2007.)

The U.S. Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C., issued an order not to release the bond. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Johnson has requested more time to work on the case, despite the 11-month interim since the arrest of the Chapmans. Kurren will be taking vacation shortly and has asked to delay the case until he returns at the end of October.

We, the supporters of true justice, request that Mr Chapman and his family members be clear of all bonds and that this absurd action by the U.S. Office of International Affairs come to an immediate end. We respectfully demand full freedom for Mr Chapman and his family. Mr Chapman is free to go anywhere he wants in Mexico, but not in his own country. The Chapmans fight crime and help clean the streets of the USA, Show them that you believe in them by supporting this request that all bonds be dropped and the case dismissed immediately.

Thank you for your time

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
