We, the people of the Southern Colorado Tea Party and other concerned Colorado citizens, find that HR2454, known as the "Cap And Trade Bill", will force Americans to accept the global warming/climate change hoax as a real crisis caused by carbon dioxide emissions from burning carbon based fuels. We find that under "Cap and Trade", this hoax generated crisis will require massive taxes, unbearable energy costs, and submission of the American people to a dictatorial bureaucracy that will severely restrict our use of our carbon based energy resources. We find that the unnecessary carbon emissions regulations in "Cap and Trade" will destroy our national security, our industries, our economy, and our Constitutional Republic. We find that the carbon emissions regulations in "Cap and Trade" will generate great wealth for "carbon credit" traders whose transactions will deprive the American people of their ownership of and the income from their carbon based resources, and will force the American people into oppressive poverty for generations to come. We find that the Carbon emissions regulations in "Cap and Trade" will prevent the people from developing, refining, and using America's enormous quantities of coal, oil, gas, oil shale, and its gigantic offshore deposits. We find that our vast carbon based energy resources will provide us, far into the future, abundant low cost energy with a surplus that can be sold in the world market to pay off our skyrocketing deficits, and keep America's standard of living the highest in the world. We find that solar and wind energies are unreliable, variable, expensive sources of energy that can exist only with the use of exorbitant amounts of tax payer money. We find that Congress has no Constitutional authority to pass a law to force American citizens to accept the global warming/climate change hoax as a valid reason for the imposition of government regulation of carbon emissions, nor to submit to the government's regulatory taking of their carbon based energy resources. We ask you for redress of these grievances by ending your support of the "Cap and Trade Bill", and by working on behalf of your fellow Colorado citizens to dispel the hoax of global warming/climate change caused by carbon dioxide emissions or any green house gas emissions. We ask you for redress of these grievances by working against any carbon emission regulations on our use of our carbon based energy resources, and by working to advance the rapid development and refining of our vast oil, coal, gas, oil shale, and offshore deposits for the benefit of the American people, and by responding in a timely manner to the issues stated in this petition.
