Teen Arrested For Torturing, Killing Family's Parakeet
After consuming alcohol, one of Guider's friends came up with the idea of burning the family parakeet. Guider sprayed hairspray on the parakeet and set it on fire," killing the bird, a police report reads.
The teens took pictures of the incident and posted them online. "The photographs showed the bird being burned and Guider holding the dead bird laughing, with his thumb up,"

Buster's Law was named after an 18-month-old tabby cat named Buster that was doused with kerosene and burned to death by a Schenectady teenager in 1997 - and to further prevent egregious animal abuse against defenseless animals including those animals who had been thrown from windows, used for target practice, subjected to hangings and intentionally and sadistically starved to death...
