In 1994, ECW Eastern Championship Wrestling became Extreme Championship Wrestling. ECW broke apart from NWA National Wrestling Alliance considering the NWA "A Wrestling organization that died" to become a wrestling company of their own. Extreme Championship Wrestling was known as the dark side of wrestling, but became a cult following. It was a no rules wrestling company that fan ate up raw. Fans couldn't get enough of it. The most violent, insane, and extreme wrestling to ever hit sports. Due to lots of reasons, ECW went out of bussiness in 2001. In 2005, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, chairman of WWE Wrestling set a pay-per-view event called "ECW One Night Stand" where former ECW wrestlers come to wrestle for one night of Extreme Championship Wrestling. In 2006, Vince not only did another pay-per-view event "ECW One Night Stand", he also brought back ECW, but at a cost: NO more extreme, no rules matches are banned unless Vince assigns one(but never does), lame wrestlers, original ECW wrestlers fired, worse story lines, Tommy Dreamer is the only ECW original, but announced if he doesn't win the now so-called ECW world championship title, he's going to retire. As a huge ECW(extreme championship wrestling)fan, it feels like a shogun to the head to see what Vincent Kennedy McMahon has done to ECW now. That's why I make this Petition as an ECW(extreme championship wrestling)fan, for Vincent Kennedy McMahon to either make ECW the way it was before or change the name.
