To:  U.S. Senate & Congress

We the undersigned, as citizens of the United States of America, believe that this hike in gas prices is unjust. Currently the highest reported price per gallon in the United States is $3.05 a gallon in Bridgeport, CA. The average price per gallon is $2.03 through out the United States. This rise gas hike is not only inconvient, but also remember that the number of unemployment claims are the highest they have ever been. This being said, We demand prices get lowered immediately. The United States has an oil reserve of 571 million gallons. Using this supply on a temporary basis, will help the US Economy, and also force foreign industry to lower prices of crude oil. If the national gas average does not fall below 1.65, the undersigned will boycott gasoline for 48 hours, starting on May 25th, 2004.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
