REMOVE THE NEW PARKING METERS IN LARCHMONT VILLAGE |
To: Larchmont Village Community and PatronsThe new parking meters in Larchmont Village hurt not only patrons of the Village, but also the business owners on the street. Under the new regulations, patrons parking on the street now have to pay until 8 o'clock at night as opposed to 6pm. This will have an adverse affect on the restaurants in the neighborhood as well as the many other businesses that benefit from staying open in the evening. The new regulations also include paying for parking Sunday during the farmers market. This will also adversely affect the businesses on the street that benefit from the increased foot traffic the market brings every Sunday. Furthermore it takes away from the ascetic and charm of the street, adding large blue boxes on each pedestrian sidewalk. They are an eyesore, and we don't want them in our Village.
Sincerely,
