Autodesk Inventor on Linux

À muito que se sabe da superior estabilidade do Linux em relação ao Windows, ainda, assim muitas empresas continuam a recusar criar software para esta plataforma. De entre estas encontra-se a Autodesk, no que toca ao seu software Inventor. Citando as palavras de um representante da Autodesk "Somos uma empresa democrática e por isso mudaremos quando a maioria dos utilizadores mudarem", a verdade é que sabemos que os utilizadores não podem mudar enquanto não puderem usar o software que necessitam na plataforma Linux.


Assim, e tendo em atenção que o Autodesk Inventor é um software profissional e por isso beneficiaria muito da estabilidade do Linux, esta petição vem pedir à Autodesk que crie uma versão Linux do seu software, ou que pelo menos disponibilize as informações necessárias para que os programadores do projecto WINE possam criar compatibilidade para o Autodesk Inventor.

It’s been a long time since Linux’s superior stability has been recognized. Still, some companies continue refusing to create software for this platform. Among these we find Autodesk with it’s Inventor software. Quoting the words of a representative from Autodesk: “We are a democratic company so we will only change when the user changes”. The truth is that most users can’t change wile the software they need isn’t available for Linux.


This said, and having in mind that Autodesk Inventor is a professional software witch would benefit from the Linux stability, this petition intends to ask Autodesk to develop a Linux version of the Inventor or at least give the WINE project developers the information they need to turn Inventor compatible with WINE
