Lizzie McGuire has been a popular show among young people the moment it hit the air on the "Disney Channel." It was the most successful of Disney's "Zoog Weekendz" shows. It attracted audiences mostly between the ages of 9-14, but in some cases was even popular among 15-20 year olds. It was no surprise when Disney announced that Lizzie McGuire was going to be turned into a movie. Being Disney's first show to cross over to a film, Lizzie had a lot riding on its success. Starring Hilary Duff, Adam Lamberg, Jake Thomas, Robert Carradine, Hallie Todd, Ashlie Brillault, Clayton Snyder, Yani Gellman, and Alex Borstein, Lizzie was immediately made a hit. "Good-girl McGuire" was idolized by tweens across the country, and set a good example for young girls. The Lizzie McGuire Movie made over 40 million dollars in the box office and is expected to make lots more when it comes out on DVD on August 12. The show has won a kids choice award for 2 yrs in a row, and it has a emmy nomination under its belt, now a show like that deserves a comeback. Comprise with hilary, work somethin out, she has stated in a number of articles, she is open to any option, but disney isnt budging.

Everything seemed to be going well for Lizzie until Duff and Disney were unable to find common ground. Although recently, Hilary Duff has said "I'm so totally open to doing a sequel, but they haven't been asking right now, so ... nobody's talking right now. But I'm open to any option."

Now fans across the country are asking Disney to reconsider and film a Lizzie McGuire Movie 2 and a new tv series. Lizzie McGuire has been a big break from long run of unsuccessful programming on the Disney Channel. And Disney should take advantage of this fact. Hilary and Adam have the best on-screen chemistry we've ever seen, the whole cast make the show the perfection it has become.
