From the first time we heard "Brass Bonanza" to the final time we heard heard the victory foghorn after the final Whalers win, we were fans. And even though it has been 7 years since since a professional hockey team has called Connecticut home, we still have not lost faith. We believe not only that Connecticut can support a pro hockey team, but that both the NHL and Hartford need each other. Having a team again would help to revitalize Hartford, giving people a reason to travel there and spread their money in the community. And to the NHL we offer a market rich in hockey history; a place where the sport thrives in pee-wee, pick-up, and semi-pro leauges consisting of men, women, and children of all ages from all walks of life. We offer a devoted fan base who did everything they could to keep their team, where the Whalers Booster Club is still alive and active, and who still get excited about talk of the NHL coming back "home".
