New Leaf Motto

To:  Toronto Maple Leaf Fans

"We Beleaf!"
"The passion that unites us all."
"Spirit is everything."

These are some of the past motto's that have been used by the Toronto Maple Leafs. To be blatantly honest - they sucked (Apologies to the marketing team in advance). However, a new motto has emerged this season. A whole new looking Maple Leafs team and fittingly a new motto. This motto is;

"No Leaf Left Behind"

It goes well with how the Leafs have been "rebuilt" this season. A much tougher, meaner looking group of guys. The motto itself is a much tougher and serious looking motto. It is no longer about "beleafing" or "Uniting" to watch a team fail. It is about getting the job done and what will be done. In fact this new model has a war like theme to it. The part where the soldier has his climatic scene where he charges the enemies either defeating everyone in hollywood fashion or dying in a tearful way. Either situation ends up in respect towards the character. This is similiar to how fans will react when a teammate stands up for another.

Now, I bring up a war movie where the famous quote "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!" (exclamation points not an exaggeration) has become embedded into the minds of many who have seen the movie. The internet hype that followed this was incredible.

The idea is simple. You bring in Gerard Butler, King Leonidas himself who yelled the infamous "This is Sparta" words but let him yell the new leaf motto, "No leaf left behind."

Just imagine, right before the referee drops the puck at centre ice to start off the game, you hear "NO LEAF LEFT BEHIND!!!" After a fight, you hear the very same motto. Not only does this pump up the fans at the ACC and watching on TV, the team and coaches but leaves the opposing team fearing you.

MLSE should, without a doubt, be able to fork over some pocket change to get Mr.Butler to say a few words in a masculine, yelling tone. The amount of marketing that this motto can do will be huge. T-shirts and merchandise can feature this new motto. Heck, you can even photoshop the spartan warrior to wear a leaf jersey, paint his cheeks blue and feature the motto below him. If you cannot hear hire Mr.Butler for this job, than why not grab the coach or Gm himself?

"NO LEAF LEFT BEHIND!!!!!!" can quite simply become the most epic motto for a sports franchise if properly marketed. This idea is properly suited for this team and fans.
