Help Level the Playing Field for wine & spirits wholesalers in Indiana

Southern Wine & Spirits, $9 billion national wholesaler operating in 29 states, was recently licensed to operate in Indiana. Southern will steal suppliers and put National Wine & Spirits out of business without legislative action. Once in the market, SWS will limit competition in Indiana and the region, leading to higher prices as well as reduced product selection and service. A huge wholesaler like Southern will consider Indiana to be nothing more than a profit center, extracting dollars and jobs from the state. Profits will be shipped back home to Miami and not invested in the Indiana Community, as a Headquartered Company would. Indiana will lose jobs and collect fewer taxes when plans are implemented to shut down local warehouses, regionalize distribution and ship into Indiana from out of state.
