SOS: Save Our Schools

To:  Robbinsdale District 281

To the leaders of District 281:

With class-sizes large, especially in Elementary Schools, and the economy hitting everybody hard, including teachers, now is the worst time to close schools.

By closing a middle school such as Sandburg, the learning of hundreds of students will be disrupted as they move to a new school, and dozens of teachers will lose jobs needed to support their families.

By closing an elementary school, such as Sunny Hollow or Pilgrim Lane, class sizes can only rise. Teachers will lose jobs yet again, and class sizes can only rise.

We must strive together, as a District and as a People, to make the right decision.
