Petition to extradite Roman Polanski to the United States

To whom it may concern,

It has come to my attention that a large group of film actors and directors have started a petition for the immediate release of convicted sexual assailant, Roman Polanski. I understand they are claiming that his crime is a “case of morals”. I’m absolutely positive that sexual abuse of a minor is NOT a case of morals, but a contemptuous crime of nature. That it is a demoralizing crime, one that pursues the victim for the rest of their life.

No one, not a famous artist, a high ranking politician, or a member of a prestigious family, should be above the law. Do we really want to continue living in a world where the severity of your crimes are determined by your wealth and fame? We have allowed that world to prosper long enough. I’m sure this isn’t the last time we will be infuriated by a member of the “elite” getting away with such criminal offenses. But unless we circulate our own petitions, and rally for what we believe in we should also be held accountable for these crimes.

Please sign this petition to extradite Roman Polanski to the United States so that he can be held accountable for drugging and raping a 13 year old child.
