HIV/AIDS positive refugees accepted into Canada are a threat to public safety and are a drain on the public health care system.

Between January 2002 and October 2003 approximately 300 HIV/AIDS positive refugees from around the world were settled in Ontario. Another 150 were accepted into Quebec. As for the remainder of Canada 35 HIV/AIDS positive refugees have been allowed into British Columbia, 20 in Alberta and a the remainder relocated to Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

While the current level of Third World immigration to Canada is a worry in and of itself, accepting HIV-positive immigrants and refugees into Canada not only puts greater strain on an already inperiled public health care system, but endangers the lives of Canadian citizens as well. For example, it is believed in some African countries that sexual intercourse with a virgin can cure HIV/AIDS, resulting in an epidemic of rapes in the formerly well ordered society of South Africa. Is these the kinds of people we want to allow into the country?

The Canadian government has the duty to protect Canadian citizens first. As such, we as voters and taxpayers insist that the government end the policy of permitting HIV/AIDS refugees into Canada.
