Removing Charter Cable from Camp Lejuene, NC

I have started a petition to get charter cable removed off Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and surrounding bases due to horrible services, False advertising etc. As many of you know Charter Cable is the only cable company and cable modem provider on base. This allows for them to do what they like.

I have been trying to get them to come out and repair my charter cable modem for over a month!!! All I get is excuses on why they can't come out. Things like there is an outage in the area which they told me that 3 times. I ask for a supervisor and they tell me there is not one available. Which is telling me that the customer is not important. And I was told I would be called back 5-10 times and never once was my call returned! I was even given the supervisors word that he would call me back! I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with this company! Most of the time on hold. There have been wide spread complaints about this company. The need to either get rid of charter communications off this base or bring in another service so there will be competition and faster service here.

There customer service is horrible! They have no technical knowledge, I know more than they do about there own equipment! I fixed my own cable modem to get it too work. But there service is so slow that it won't even go over 56k! You are better off with 56k modem at least you can get on the internet with it.

And when they did finally send out someone they sent out the same guy who was a contractor for the company for a problem he can't fix. A contracted installer!!! NOT A TECHNICIAN!

I have changed over to DSL temporary till this problem can be resolved.
