We are hard rock music fans with cable television who enjoyed MTVX and the wide variety of music that was featured. Replacing MTVX with MTV Jams will eliminate an entire marketing demographic (rock fans) and cost many up-and-coming rock bands a chance at success. We are fans of metal, punk, alternative, thrash, glam, grunge, progressive, old-school metal, speed metal, art-rock, hardcore, and just plain rock 'n'roll. We are all ages, races and genders. We could see everyone from The Rolling Stones to Alice in Chains to Agnostic Front to Rush on MTVX. There was no other channel like it on air or cable--it was unique. In addtion, it was good advertising for MTV2 and shows on MTV and VH-1. We want Viacom/MTV to restore MTVX or we will boycott MTV, MTV2 and certainly MTV Jams, and all their advertisers.
