To:  The Roundabout Theater Company

The Roundabout Theater Company's 2006 revival of The Threepenny Opera, newly translated and with a stellar cast, has no plans for a cast album, according to several Roundabout representatives.

The large fanbase for this show, Closing June 25, 2006 and starring Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming, are extremely upset about the lack of an announcement for a cast album. In a season when even an enormous flop like Lestat is getting a cast album, it is a puzzlement to many as to why this successful, Tony-nominated production has a slim chance of releasing one.

Although there was a negative reaction from some members of the press, the quality of the cast, particularly vocal tallent, was almost universally acclaimed. Wasting this cast by not immortalizing the performances is simply inexcusable.

The undersigned petition the Roundabout Theater Company to release a cast album for their 2006 revival of "The Threepenny Opera"
