The purpose of this petition is to get Ryan Malcolm, the Canadian Idol Winner, played in the U.S. There is a lot of red tape that must be broken through before his CD, "Home" (which you can listen to here: http://vikrecordings.com/ryanmalcolm/multimedia.html ) is released here. However, if 19 Entertainment and BMG music see that there is enough demand for Ryan, they will be more willing to break through all the red tape. Most Americans are unaware of the fact that Ryan Malcolm was part of the American Idol Christmas Special. His performance of "Let It Snow" was not shown to the American audience, but the people at the taping reacted very well to him. American Idol is shown all over the world, yet we can't even see Canadian Idol in the United States. While we certainly don't mind sharing Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Kimberly Locke, Tamyra Gray, and the others with the rest of the world, we'd like to see the great talent the rest of the world has to offer, or at least our wonderful neighbors to the North. Ryan Malcolm could be very big if he is released in the U.S. Several Americans have purchased his CD thanks to the hearing about him on message boards and seeing him on World Idol. Imagine how many Americans would buy his CD if it is actually released here and Ryan gets some Radio play. In other words, exposure to the general public, not just resourceful Internet users. So to BMG: Let us have Ryan Malcolm in the U.S.
