We are opposed to the proposed cuts to the Italian section of the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (SMLLC) at Royal Holloway, University of London. We oppose the withdrawal of Single Honours and Italian Major degree programmes. We oppose the decisions to reduce the number of research staff from 5 to 3, and we declare our support for the staff of the Italian section.
