We the undersigned are asking for your consideration for any actress other than Dakota Fanning for the role of Jane in Twilights sequel, New Moon (a.k.a. Twilight Two). We feel the film has already proved itself a movie that does not take on very mainstream actors and actresses, and by putting Dakota Fanning in this role you will be placing a very mainstream actress in the film. This mistake would be as big as casting Vanessa Hudgens as Leah, or Angelina Jolie as Tanya, or any other role for that matter. Though Dakota may look the part, think of how she will grow over the course of the next three films; it simply will not work. She will change too much, and vampires never grow or change. They live forever in never ending beauty. A fourteen year old girl is not going to stop growing enough to allow for this without the use of special effects. Another problem encountered is Alec, Janes twin. Can you tell me where you are going to find a twin for Dakota? And how that twin will not change as much as she will? Will we still have the assurance they will still look like twins by the time the fourth film rolls around? We urge you to consider another actress for this part, someone older and no so mainstream. Jane is, though a small part, very complex and we would like to see someone more mature take on this role. The role will require a lot of research, creativity, talent, and experience. Dakota Fanning is a fourteen year old girl with a lot of growing up to do and will change, is too mainstream, and may not be emotionally mature enough for this role.
