Canada's anthem should be a prerequisite: Lord Stanley was a Canadian!

To:  All Hockey Fans

Recognizing the extreme importance of the common values among all the stakeholders within the NHL community, we must continue down a path resulting in a policy change that displays a mutual and heightened respect for the two great nations in which the finest sport on earth was born, built and played with the highest professionalism.

We AGREE that hockey fans regardless of national identity deserve better.

And we AGREE that action should be taken immediately.

Be it resolved that during the opening ceremonies of future Stanley Cup championship series both Canadian and American national anthems will be performed, regardless of geographic location (American or Canadian).
