Background: The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved a plan to divide the 814 area code along geographic boundaries. After significant public reaction to this decision, on January 13, 2011 the PUC reopened the case for further consideration and additional public hearings.

Summary: We the undersigned respectfully request the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to implement an overlay plan in the 814 area code region, reserving the 582 area code for new numbers. The overlay plan would be the most cost effective for those doing business in our region.
