No Variance for 850 Preston Road

We the undersigned residents of East Meadow, NY and surrounding areas in Nassau County are opposed to the application of Cooper & Stein Realty Corp. owner (and any other owner or agent) of the property located at 850 Preston Road To build four (4) homes at 850 Preston Road in East Meadow with a separate Roadway. We are also opposed to any future application to subdivide and build homes on this property that will require a variance to the current zoning regulations. There is currently one (1) home on this property.

We are opposed to this and any future application to obtain a variance to the current zoning because it will:

1. Dramatically change the nature and character of the community.

2. Be a substantial departure from the present character of the area and will adversely affect our community.

3. Adversely affect the property values

4. Set a dangerous precedent that is contrary to the current philosophy both in the town and the county which is to: A] avoid overdevelopment, B] prevent undue strain on resources and C] preserve open spaces.
