As you know, Beverly Hills 90210 was one of the longest running and most watched prime-time drama's of the 90's. It's portrayal of real life problems and situations of high school and college students drew many fans of all different ages, places, backgrounds, and interests. The only problem is, now that it's over, it has left many fans, new and old, seeking the missed episodes and even already seen ones. Although FX does replay past episodes up to 4x a day, most fans tend not to watch. This is because they feel they have already missed so much of the story and character information in the many seasons which were already replayed prior to this current airing.
Therefore I am going to ask something of you. I have written up this petition in hopes the FX Television station would at least consider running a "Beverly Hills 90210 Marathon" all thoughout, at least, the 48 hour period of one weekend (if not longer). I can almost guarantee that all the old 90210 fans will watch this marathon to relive past favorite episodes and to watch missed ones. Plus, I can also guarantee it will bring on a lot more viewers who have only seen a few episodes here or there, or none, even though they are much interested in the show, because this will bring them the chance to catch up on the story line, and see just why this wonderful and interesting show was kept on air for 10 seasons.
I know for a fact that there are a lot of people who see the reruns of the show on television everyday and start to watch, but get so confused because they haven't really seen much of the past shows and don't understand the current situations, so they then change the channel to something else. By running a marathon of this show wll give all those people with interest in the show a chance to watch the past episodes, and therefore, will no longer change the channel when they see reruns airing.
