The Porsche enthusiasts and Die-Cast Model collectors that consist of a large portion of your customer base would like to see a 1:18 scale die-cast model of the Porsche 928 series of automobiles. The 928 was produced from 1977 through 1995 and consisted of 4 different versions of this powerful GT coupe. Production began in 1977 with the 928 and ran through 1982. The 1977 version was named car of the year in Europe. In 1983 the 928 was replaced with the 928S version and was produced through 1986. 1987 brought the 928 S4 version and was produced through 1991. The series ended in 1995 with the pinicale of 928 production, the GTS. The GTS was produced from 1993 through 1995. The 928 was significantly ahead of its time with the use of aluminum in the body panels, a pwerful front mounted V8 and a rear mounted transaxle.

The 928 Series was the first Porsche model design started with a clean sheet of paper and completely done in house at Porsche AG. Today, the 928 series has a strong dedicated enthusiast following and the 928 also occupies a very significant place in history with the companys success in the sports car market today. Surely, there is sufficient reason to produce a high-quality 1:18 scale die-cast model of this wonderful series of cars to compliment the other Porsches from automobile history.
