Petition against iTunes Price Increases / Variable Pricing |
To: The Record LabelsAs users of legitimately purchased music, we now believe the very concept of variable pricing is another way to penalise us for choosing to reward artists for their creativity. We believe the demand for variable pricing is simply another way for the Record Labels to rob users of their liberties whilst at the same time filling the labels pockets with additional cash. We believe that the 99-cent per track pricing on iTunes is the correct pricing for all songs [as has been clearly proven thus far], and that labels will not, despite their promises, lower prices below their current levels, simply "marking up" content that they believe is now more valuable than it was before. We hope that the people making these decisions choose to listen to us, the comsumers, who choose to peacefully inform them of our opinions about the products we wish to buy.
Sincerely,
