WE NEED TO STOP HOMOPHOBIA IN CHICAGO, ACTUALLY EVERYWHERE. THE GLBT ARE LIVING, LOVING, BREATHING HUMANS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. SO WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO SUFFER FROM THE HEARTACHE OF THE WORLDS IMMATURITY AND THEIR JACKASSNESS. BEING GAY DOESNT MEAN WE HAVE A DISEASE. BEING GAY MEANS THAT WE PREFER THE SAME SEX. ITS NOT SOME KIND OF PSYCHOSIS OR MENTAL ILLNESS.
WHY ARENT WE FREE TO LOVE WHO WE WANT TO LOVE? IS IT SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO ACCEPT THAT? PLEASE SIGN MY PETITION ON STOPPING HOMOPHOBIA IN CHICAGO AND EVERYWHERE...

HERE ARE SOME FACTS THAT I FOUND ON THE INTERNET.

Being gay is not a disease to be 'cured' or 'fixed'. It is part of the broad spectrum of human sexuality.

For men who go on to identify as gay, there is a strong physical and emotional attraction to men that they don't usually feel for women.
This may cause feelings of isolation for young men because they feel a lot of pressure to be heterosexual, or 'straight'.

Homosexuality is not like a light switch a person can turn on and off. Being gay is a part of who someone truly is.

Most gay and lesbian people will tell you being gay is not a choice.

Homosexuality has existed all throughout history and is present in birds and mammals, as well as humans.
