Death Penalty for the murderer of a Maryland Correctional Officer

To:  Howard County State Attorney's Office

We are petitioning Howard County State Attorney to seek the Death Penalty against Brandon Morris a cold-blooded murderer of a Maryland Correctional Officer.

Brandon Morris was already serving an eight-year sentence for assault and weapons convictions when he in cold blood shot and killed Officer Jeffery Wroten with Wroten's gun at Washington County Hospital in January 2006.

Afterward, Morris took a hospital visitor hostage and then forced a cabbie to drive him at gunpoint into Pennsylvania and back into Maryland before he was captured.

Although Officer Wroten fought gallantly for his life but ultimately lost the battle. As a result, his family lost a wonderful son, devoted father, nurturing brother, loving spouse, caring friend and a dedicated professional who enjoyed his work as a correctional officer.
