El Dr. Randy Pausch tiene un cГncer de pГncreas que ha hecho metГstasis hacia otros Гіrganos de su cuerpo, lo que hace temer que su vida no se prolongarГ mГs allГ de este aГo. Desde finales del aГo 2007 el Dr. Randy Pausch ha estado dictando su Clase Final, inicialmente diseГada para sus hijos, pero que ha sido vista, escuchada y apreciada por miles de personas por los hermosos mensajes que transmite. El Dr. Randy Pausch ha dedicado buena parte de su vida a la creaciГіn de instrumentos para la educaciГіn y el entretenimiento, convirtiГndose en ejemplo como profesional, investigador y profesor. Su labor de divulgaciГіn de su вClase Finalв ha contribuido a difundir sentimientos de amor y solidaridad muy necesarios en el mundo de hoy, ademГs de sensibilizar sobre la necesidad de invertir mГs recursos en la investigaciГіn para la cura de una forma de cГncer tan letal como el cГncer de pГncreas, por lo que serГa una pГrdida irreparable su muerte antes de que esa labor se difunda suficientemente en nuestro planeta.

Esta peticiГіn va dirigida a quien puede hacer que el Dr. Randy Pausch permanezca con vida y activo mГs tiempo, lo suficiente como para difundir con su ejemplo esos sentimientos de amor al prГіjimo y de solidaridad que tanto necesitamos, o incluso tanto tiempo como para que pueda verificar con sus propios ojos en este mundo que sus hijos y nietos han entendido su mensaje. No es una solicitud dirigida a centros de investigaciГіn, ni a hospitales, ni a departamentos gubernamentales de salud, ni a empresas farmacГuticas. Es una solicitud dirigida a Dios.

Cada ser humano en este mundo tiene una concepciГіn particular de Dios: muchos amoldan esa concepciГіn a reglas, normas o dogmas de una determinada religiГіn; algunos lo conciben como alguien capaz de intervenir en los acontecimientos de nuestra vida; otros como alguien que decidiГі esos acontecimientos al inicio de los tiempos; otros como alguien que creГі el universo en el que vivimos y dio al hombre el libre albedrГo, para que decidiera con sus actos su porvenir y el de la humanidad; otros rechazan la idea de la existencia de un ser superior y atribuyen la creaciГіn del universo y de la humanidad a leyes fГsicas; otros simplemente no piensan en ello y labran sus vidas con su accionar de dГa a dГa; otros creen en la existencia de varios dioses, cada uno con influencia en determinadas facetas de nuestra vida; otros piensan que la integraciГіn con Dios вllГmese el Uno o el Universo o el Todo- es cuestiГіn de la labor interna de cada quien. Pero todo hombre en algГєn momento de su vida hace contacto con ese algo interno o externo, parte o todo de este universo en el que existimos, mediante una oraciГіn, una plegaria, una introspecciГіn, una mirada o un deseo. Esta peticiГіn va dirigida a ese algo, que para efectos de lograr la integraciГіn en torno a esta peticiГіn, llamaremos Dios. Son numerosas las pruebas de que la conjunciГіn de las oraciones, plegarias, introspecciones o deseos alrededor de una idea Гєnica puede lograr que esta idea se realice. Esta es la intenciГіn de esta peticiГіn.

Imploramos a Dios que dГ al Dr. Randy Pausch salud suficiente para divulgar en el mundo su mensaje de amor al prГіjimo y solidaridad y para constatar en vida que su mensaje ha sido entendido y asimilado como forma de vida de sus hijos y nietos.

Dr. Randy Pausch suffers from pancreatic cancer with a metastasis process spreading to other organs of his body. This has given reasons to fear that his life will not last beyond this present year. Since late 2007 Dr. Randy Pausch has been dictating his Final Lecture initially conceived as a special last message to his children, but his Lecture has been heard and praised by thousands of people due to the beautiful message his words have transmitted to all. Dr. Randy Pausch has dedicated a good part of his life to the design and conception of educational learning and entertainment material, being considered an extraordinary raw model of what it means to be a professional, an investigator and outstanding professor. His efforts in transmitting the content of his вFinal Lectureв have contributed to spread the feelings of love and solidarity to humankind, very necessary in the world of today, in addition to building up the necessary conscience in everyone, about the need to invest more and increasing resources in scientific research for the cure of this particularly lethal form of illness such as pancreatic cancer and - as a result в there being his passing considered an irreparable loss if his work and effort are not sufficiently known around the planet before that final moment comes.

This pleading is being addressed to the one who can contribute in keeping Dr. Randy Pausch alive and active for the longest possible time, sufficient to spread his message of love and solidarity to others, of which we are so much in need, including that such time remaining may be sufficient so that he gets to see - in this world and with his own eyes - that his children and grandchildren will finally receive the benefit of his message. This is not a request directed to a government health department or a research center or a hospital or pharmaceutical institutions. This is a prayer directed to God.

Every human being in this world has a particular conception about God: many of them mold that conception to certain rules, regulations and dogmas under a given religion; some have conceived and accepted the idea of someone who is able to intervene in all those circumstances which control our life; others, as someone who has already decided upon those circumstances at the begining of time; others, as someone who created the universe in which we all live and gave man the power of free will, so that he would be capable to decide - with his own acts - about his own destiny and that of the entire humanity; others reject the idea of existence of a superior being and have base the process of creation of the universe and humanity as a result of scientific evolution following physical laws; others simply do not think about the matter whatsoever and carry on with their lives as day by day actions are performed; others believe in the existence of many gods, each one of them with a particular influence in specific facets of our lives; others think that integration with God в whether defined as The One or as the Universe or the Whole в constitutes a question of internal reflection taking place within each individualвs being. However , all men, at some moment in their lives, make some sort of contact with that internal or external someone, whether considered a part of or the whole entire universe in which we exist, whether it is trough a prayer, a pleading, an introspection, or sudden moment of contemplation or a simple wish. This prayer is being directed to that someone whom - for the effects of procuring a total integration of support around it - we shall call God. Evidence has been abundant about the effective results of a conjunction of prayers, pleadings, introspections or wishes being raised around an idea so that we may make this wish to become a reality. This is the goal of this petition.

We implore to God to grant Dr. Randy Pausch the necessary and strong enough health so that he may divulge his message to the world about the love and solidarity owed to others and so that he may see during his lifetime that his message has been sufficiently understood and assimilated as a form of life he wishes for his children and grandchildren.
