Dear Ms. Fishel,

Thank you for your e-mail to inquire about the discontinuation of
products from the American Girl® Historical Collection. We welcome the
opportunity to respond to your comments and concerns.

As we introduce new historical characters to this collection, the number
of items we offer continues to expand at monumental proportions. As a
result, we have found it necessary to discontinue some items in order to
make room for new ones. In addition, some of the outfits and accessory
pieces are no longer popular purchases and demand for them has
decreased. Therefore, a number of items from the Historical Collection
have been discontinued.

We encourage those who are interested in purchasing any items that are
being discontinued to place their orders as soon as possible when they
are featured in the "Sale" section of our online store. Discontinued
products are available in limited quantities and may sell out quickly.
These items will not be reordered once our stock is depleted.

We appreciate your understanding, and we hope that you will continue to
enjoy the many other fine products that American Girl has to offer.

This is the e-mail I got asking about the retired items. I've come up with an idea in my last petition, and that is that they should create another store for the retired items that they know longer have room for. Either way I won't give up and I want to see the retired items come back.
