Request for Commission to Examine Racism with regards to the DSC during Korea and Vietnam |
To: United States CongressWe, the undersigned, request the support of United States Senator Diane Feinstein and sponsorship of a commission to review all Asian Distinguished Service Cross awards to Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. We know that discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders did not end with World War II and in light of the investigation by the Secretary of the Army resulting in 22 World War II DSCs being upgraded to the Congressional Medal of Honor, we humbly request that such a commission be charged with investigating whether DSCs in these wars be likewise upgraded.
Sincerely,
