This petition is for the Indonesian government, to make them realise that there are people out here who care about the plight of orangutans in Indonesia. We want them to sit up and take notice of the ill treatment of these animals which is going on under their noses while they do nothing about it. We want them to really start a protection scheme, to stop the trade in baby orangutans as pets, to stop the killing of their mothers in order to steal the babies and to stop destroying their natural habitat to grow palms for palm oil!
