The current Amarillo Soccer Association Executive Board has indeed been providing services in the best interest of the community and its members.
The ASA Executive Board has been diligent in focusing on creating the best learning environment for its recreational players and coaches as well as facilitating opportunities for U-11 and above players seeking a more competitive option. A focus on excellence ensures that ASA player development focuses on skill-development and instilling a love for the game over game results. Utilizing the player development guidelines of the US Youth Soccer Association ensures that our players are learning the critical elements of the game identified by the top youth soccer player development authority in the United States.
On occasion and as required, the ASA Executive Board has also been diligent in investigating allegations of rule infractions when such allegations have been brought to their attention. While such investigations and inquiries sometimes brings about hard feelings, and recently involved a threat of legal action by one member organization with the stated intent of bringing about the destruction of ASA (in violation of NTSSA member rules), ASA is obligated to thoroughly process and/or investigate allegations of rule violations when brought to its attention.
If there is any agenda being put forth by the ASA Executive Board, it is an agenda of rule compliance. ASA operates under the jurisdiction of the North Texas State Soccer Association and the US Youth Soccer Association and is responsible for ensuring that the USYSA, NTSSA and ASA Rules and Regulations are thoroughly complied with by its members.
These facts are recognized:
The ASA Executive Board has worked with competitive clubs seeking sanctioning of training academies, providing exemptions to requirements as warranted to maintain the intent of the academy rules.
The ASA Executive Board has offered to partner with Amarillo competitive clubs in ASA tournaments as a fund-raising activity for the clubs
ASA has provided online registration for competitive club player management at no additional cost to the clubs
ASA has provided Academy registration of recreational players for clubs through the recreational registration process
ASA has promoted competitive Academies on the ASA website and registration pages
ASA has offered competitive clubs unlimited web space on the ASA website to administer as they deem necessary
ASA has provided all registered competitive clubs access to the ASA mailing list, broadcast email list, and phone messaging system to promote and inform ASA parents about clubs' special events, open practices, tryouts, and academies. The use of the systems has been severely curtailed due to the unauthorized use of ASA member databases by certain individuals and organizations.
ASA has provided fields for club teams playing in the West Texas Premier League at no additional cost and has worked diligently to accommodate all Amarillo competitive teams scheduling needs
ASAs office manager has been highly responsive to all of our customers.
While some of the current ASA Executive Board members have children who play soccer for competitive clubs, no current Executive Board member has ever held a position of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Manager, or Director of Coaching for a competitive club organization *while also* serving on the ASA Executive Board. The same cannot be said for the previous board wherein the preceding was in fact the case.
The current ASA Executive Board has never allowed a competitive soccer organization to utilize the ASA mailing address and/or business telephone to solicit business for that club or for other businesses.

The focus on customer service, player excellence, education, honor and fun on the soccer field, and the absence of conflicts of interest that existed with previous boards, ensures that the ASA Executive Board is fully capable of managing ASA's operations in the best interests of our children."
