Americans for True Reform not Forced Reform

We, the undersigned, believe in the absolute need for Health Care Reform.

We also believe that Congress is playing political games with our future and not taking into consideration the opinions of those who elected these men and women.

In a time of economic crisis, making health insurance coverage a requirement for ALL Americans and imposing penalties that include jail time of up to one year for refusal to buy coverage, is appalling and irresponsible.

Furthermore, without Tort Reform there is NO reform at all. Conitnued legal costs will be passed to the individual as all operating costs are in ANY business.

The Bills currently being discussed for passage in both the House and the Senate are incomplete, misunderstood by both parties, and in many cases still unread due to the speed at which they being forced through. This is not responsible practice and in no way representative of the American people's needs.

We urge all members of the current Congress, as well as Pres. Obama himself, to step back from their personal agendas and listen to the American public instead of refusing to believe that We know what We want or is best for Us.
