Parking Situation at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling

Stirling Council havw advised that parking for Away Supporting fans will not be affected by these proposals. However we as Stirling Albion Supporters believe that there proposals will have an effect on parking for away fans as some away fans use Forthside Way to park instead of the Away car park. Also Stirling Council have annonced new proposals to introduce parking charges in their proposed car park at Forthside. These charges ar £1.60 for 2 hours, £1.90 for 4 hours and £2.50 for over 4 hours. We feel that forceing football fans to pay for car parking on top of their match prices is unfair to both the football supporters and the local buisness community as this may well cause some supporters to park elseware and causing parking issues for the local business community. So please support us in showing Stirling Council that there decision is not just causeing problems for the football supporters but causing problems for the wider community.

Stirling Council has made plans to prevent people from parking along Forthside Way. These plans include clamping vehicles that are parked there. This situation directly affects the supporters of Stirling Albion and all visiting clubs by not allowing them to park here on match days. Stirling Council has also dramatically reduced the number of parking spaces around Forthbank Stadium with the construction of the new sports complex and the new St. Modans High School. Stirling Council wants the supporters to use alternative parking including parking at the Springkerse Retail Park and Morrison’s Superstore.

We are concerned fans of Stirling Albion Football Club have started this petition to show how this is going to affect the club and the local business community around Forthbank Stadium. The club would be effected by reduced numbers attending games due to the lack of parking around the ground for both home and visiting fans, also local businesses would be effected by cars parking where there customers would normally park to go to there premises. We are asking for your support by signing this petition you will be helping us show Stirling Council that there plans will cause serious problems for Stirling Albion fans, visiting fans and local businesses.
