Since the latest war in Iraq, the Assyrians have been oppressed without any attention from democratic nations who promote world peace. It is for this reason, that we the undersigned respectfully-request a Nineveh Plains administrative unit to allow for regional self government under the central Iraqi government. This action if taken would most likely decrease Islamic Fundamentalism replacing it with moderation. Furthermore, making Iraq more democratic as a result.
