Creation of new Seasons of Avatar: the Last Airbender

Dear Nickelodeon,

This petition concerns the continuation of the series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The date of the series finale, July 19th, 2008, has come almost too soon for those who truly enjoy the show. Avatar is one of the finest animated series aired on Nickelodeon, and should be continued into a new series.

It is clear that Avatar has proved its worth to Nickelodeon, for Avatar is one of the highest ranked animated series. Many awards have been won, and the demographic data shows how much Avatar is anticipated around the world. This sudden end to our beloved show has left a gap in our hearts. There is no spin off that could fill that gap. It will not be difficult to resume the production of Avatar, for many of our questions are still not answered.

The resumption of Avatar is not only to our benefit. If resumed, the new series could bring in fans and profit, for example, the creation of new DVDs, games, toys, and other merchandise. Millions of viewers could be lost due to the sudden finale. For the sake of thousands of fans worldwide, please continue the Avatar legacy.
