Multiplayer for B17-2 The Mighty Eight |
To: InfogramesWe the undersigned as current members of www.bombs-away.net hereby ask Infogrames to look into fixing as many of the bugs that are still in the game and finishing the Multi-Player aspect of B17-2 The Mighty Eight.
We all feel this is a very good game that did not meet expectations of the developer or publisher at the time of its release.
Now that Infogrames has responsibility for the future of the game we need your help.
The game is good in most eyes but it still has a lot of potential in it. The Community has created new Nose Art, new Plane Skins, they have started a virtual 8th AF Flying with almost 200 people all flying the SAME missions on thier own PC's as if Multiplayer were part of the game.
We all realize something can not be done for nothing. We do feel there is more than enough support ( by increased sales of the game ) and desire from within the Bombs-away.net COMMUNITY to make it worth Infogrames while to spend the time and money on making it a much better game.
We currently have a POLL running asking the following Questions.
http://apps3.vantagenet.com/zsv/survey.asp?finish=Finish&id=221817262
1. Would you recommend others to buy the game if more patches were done to the game ? We feel that the more that gets fixed the more people who have balked at BUYING the game due to all of the problems would in turn buy it. Once the word SPREADS that more work is being done on the game the more it will sell.
2. Do you want Multi-player capabilities added into B17-2 ? This is the biggest complaint. When Multiplayer was dropped last year the number of sales lost was huge. If Multiplayer can be put back in a lot more people will buy the game that decided not to buy it when Multiplayer was dropped.
3. How many people do you know would buy the game if Multi-Player capabilities were added back into B17-2 ? A lot of people who fly B17-2 also fly other flight sims. A lot of these also fly other MULTIPLAYER Sims. Each of us know 1 or more people who would jump at buying the game if they could fly with their friends. We figure each person knows 3-4 other people who do not have the game would buy it on the spot if Multi-player were in the game. For each person who has done the POLL we average 3 other people they know who would buy the game. Bombs-Away has almost 4000 members. If all 4000 can convince 3 people each to buy the game since Multiplayer would be part of it that would amount to over $500,000 in gross sales for the game.
4. How would you play B17-2 if Multi-Player were added into the game ? Everyone has their own idea of who and where one would play b17-2 on-line. if one ore more of these ideas could be implemented it would help sell more games. People want to play the game with others any way they can.
In the end the ball is in Infogrames court. You have the code and the resources to turn the game into the gem it was originally designed to be. Do not let this golden opportunity get passed up.
Thank you for your support.
