Georgia Smoking Ban in ALL Public Indoor Places

For every two hours you spend in a smoke-filled environment such as a bar or nightclub, you are inhaling the equivalent of one pack of cigarettes in secondhand smoke.

For those who work in these environments for an eight-hour shift, they are inhaling the equivalent of four packs of cigarettes during their shift! This is extremely detrimental to their health, and something needs to be done about it!

This is the approach that the state of California took when banning cigarettes from all public places throughout the entire state. It was done to protect the workers.

There are far fewer smokers and tobacco-related illnesses in California now than there were just a few years ago. And businesses such as bars and nightclubs are doing better than ever.

The same could be said of New York and a number other states that have taken the initiative to ban smoking within all public structures. Bars and nightclubs have been able to accommodate smokers with designated outdoor areas and the bans have not affected sales. In Georgia's warm and temperate climate, creating outdoor designated smoking areas should not be a problem.

By signing this petition, you're demanding your representatives to enact a law that bans smoking in all indoor public places, including bars and nightclubs, in order to protect the health and well being of those who work in such environments as well as those who frequent those establishments.
